The Valdese Lions Club has been supporting the people of Valdese since 1936.

Projects in which the Valdese Lions Club actively participates fall into the categories of Fundraising and Service.

Service Projects

• Glasses for individuals in need
• Support for Camp Dogwood, a Lions operated summer camp for the blind and visually impaired (VIP)
• Sponsor VIPs to attend Camp Dogwood
• VIP events and celebrations
• VIP transportation and one-on-one assistance
• Fund two annual college scholarships
• NC Lions Brighter Vision
• Margorie McCune Center
• Agape Senior home
• Collect used glasses, hearing aids, and mobile phones for rehab and distribution to those in need
• Disaster relief (through LCIF)
