Service & Fundraiser Projects, 2021-22




2021 Annual Fugi Apple Sales Fundraiser: Fresh picked and boxed Fugi apples were transported to the Thurston County Food  for distribution on October 21st to participating Lions clubs that included Tumwater Lions. Net sales proceeds will benefit Camp Leo, a summer camp for diabetic youth, and other club service projects.

Project completed with club netting $600.00.  

2021 Tumwater Lions Annual Christmas Tree Sales 

A holiday tradition in Tumwater since 1964, the Tumwater Lions annual Christmas Tree Sales, out biggest fundraiser of the year, returned for the 57th consecutive year.

We have proudly sold "The Most Beautiful Christmas Trees In The World" to generations of satisfied customers looking for that special holiday tree. 

This season we sold two of the most popular Christmas trees, Noble and Douglas Firs.  As always our trees were locally grown.  Tumwater Lions will continue to specialize in selling the freshest, highest quality locally grown trees at the best prices.

2022 High School Scholarship Awards:  Two $1,000.00 Scholarships have been awarded to a graduating senior, one each from Tumwater and Black Hills High Schools.    


Earth Day Celebration 2022:  April 22nd at Tumwater Historical Park.  Funding in part provided by Tumwater Lions. Fifty tumwater School Students were among the volunteers who participated in this year's Earth Day focus at the park.  The program included the planting of indigenous shrubs and trees, spreading of bedding mulch, clean up of tree fallen debris,  and the removal of invasive alien ivy.   Cash prizes were awarded to two schools with the first and second most  student volunteers.  Tumwater Middle School received $500.00 cash for first place and Black Hills received $200.00 for second.
