2020 I-5 May Town Rest Area (Free) Coffee Stop:  Cancelled due to Corona Virus restrictions.  Tabled until 2021.

2020 Annual Fugi Apple Sales Fundraiser: Fresh picked and boxed Fugi apples were transported to the Thurston County Food Bank warehouse from Eastern WA for distribution on  November 1st and 2nd.  Participating area lions clubs picked up pre-ordered boxes on for delivery to customers.  Net sales proceeds benefit Camp Leo, a summer camp for diabetic youth, and participating Lions' clubs service projects.

2020  56th Annual Christmas Tree Sale

Corona Virus Restrictions will be enforced; social distancing and wearing of masks


When: November 28 thru December 15.  Length of sale will vary due to inventory.

Where: East parking lot Dollar Tree Store, Southgate Shopping Center, Tumwater

Hours: Week Days: 3 PM to  7PM  -- Weekends:  10 AM to 7 PM

Trees: Noble and Nodmann Firs

Height: 4+ to 7+ feet

Origin: All our trees were local area grown  by the Hunters Christmas Tree Farms

Proceeds: All Public Sale proceeds support local area service programs, such as the Union Gospel Mission Vision project,  hearing, diabetes, Homeless BackPacks (weekend food program for homeless middle and high school students),  Holiday Assistance and educational programs.*

“Why buy a tree anywhere else?”

Tumwater and Black Hills high school students can earn service hours required for graduation by volunteering at our tree stand during sales hours. Related sign-up is available at both schools.

Method of payment: Cash or local personal checks only.   Sorry, we have no provision to accept debit or credit cards.  ATM machines are located nearby.

2020Tumwater area Christmas Holiday Assistance Program:

This progam provides christmas gifts for children of Tumwater families in need.  A related giving tree will be located in the Tumwater City Hall. Applications will be available at Tumwater area schools.  

2020 High School Scholarship Awards:  Two $1,000.00 Scholarships were awarded to one graduating senior each from Tumwater and Black Hills High Schools.    


2020 Earth Day Participation:   Cancelled due to Corona Virus restricions.  Tabled until 2021


2020 White Canes fund-rasier: Was to be held the first Friday and Saturday of May at the Tumwater Fred Meyer.  Cancelled due to Corona Virus restrictions.  Tabled until 2021.
