The club appreciates the participation of ALL volunteers to help our projects succeed.

The Club meets twice a month for a business meeting and dinner at a local restaurant and though the meeting place has changed several times in the 53 year history, the meeting location is on or near Wilmot Road in east Tucson Arizona. Visitors are always welcome. Over the years, the Wilmot Lions have been home to five past district governors and many more District 21-B cabinet officers.

Our Lions Club was chartered in November 1957 with 30 members, most of whom were business men and teachers. The last Charter member passed away in 1989. The club was sponsored by the Tucson Downtown Lions Club, a noon meeting club to be a dinner meeting club on the east side of Tucson. The first woman member was inducted in 1985 and the club has sponsored a Leo Club for Jr. High School aged students and a Lioness Club for women that wish to pursue Lionism as a women’s organization. The Club is twinned with the Leones de Huatabampo, Sonora Lions Club of Huatabampo Mexico.
