How can you help?
Donate your used eyeglasses and hearing aids. Our collection boxes are located tgroughout Miami County including the public libraries in Troy, Piqua, and Tipp City.
Be an advocate for vision health. Have your eyes professionally checked regularly. Make sure your whole family practices good vision health. Also have your blood sugar level checked at least annually. 50% of people who have diabetes are not aware of their condition and diabetes is a leading cause of blindness.
Register your Kroger Plus card’s Community Rewards to the Troy Lions Charities. Our number is 83734. Go to KrogerCommunityRewards.com to register.
Purchase some “Dippin Donuts” at our booth at the Strawberry Festival, buy tickets to our barbeque chicken and pulled pork sandwhich dinners, attend Paint Night, and donate at our popcorn booth.
Monetary donations are always welcome. The Troy Lions Charities is a 501c 3 charity. All donations are tax deductible. One hundred percent of all donations are used for charitable purposes. All administrative expenses are provided and donated by the Troy Lions Club.

Service Projects:
- Preschool vision screening. Our trained screeners will perform the exams. We need volunteers to interact with the children, moving them from one testing station to another, and handling some record keeping duties.
- Flexible Film plastic recycling - When recycling plastic bags and other flexible film plastics, weigh your products and email your total to Troy42Lions@gmail.com. Together 500 pounds will be converted to a community bench.
- Card Showers - You can help make greetings cards for seniors and drop them off prior to the delivery deadline.
- Operation Christmas Child - Build a shoebox full of age-appropriate personal care, educational, or fun items and drop it off prior to the delivery deadline. See list of suggested items and forbitten items on the Christmas Child webpage
Fundraising Projects:
- Strawberry Festival - volunteer to work a shift at the annual festival at our booth.
- Chicken dinners / pulled pork dinners - Volunteer to sell tickets or help serve the meals.
- Avenue of Flags - help put up flags or take them down on the posted schedule.
