🦁 Welcome to Toronto Cathay Lions Club
多伦多国泰狮子会
Chartered January 16, 1975
For over five decades, the Toronto Cathay Lions Club has proudly served our community with compassion, integrity, and unity.
Since being chartered on January 16, 1975, our Club has been part of Lions Clubs International—the world’s largest service organization. Guided by the Lions motto, “We Serve,” we are committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those around us.
Founded by visionary community leaders during a transformative period in Toronto’s history, the Toronto Cathay Lions Club was created as a platform to:
-
Support charitable causes locally and globally
-
Foster leadership within the Chinese-Canadian community
-
Bridge cultures through service
-
Empower youth and families
Over the years, our members have organized charity galas, community events, fundraising campaigns, and volunteer initiatives that have supported healthcare, education, disaster relief, and families in need. More than fundraising, we believe in building relationships, strengthening communities, and leading by example.
Today, as Toronto continues to grow as one of the world’s most diverse cities, our mission remains as strong as ever. We welcome members from all backgrounds who share a common belief: that service is a responsibility and leadership is an opportunity to uplift others.
More than 50 years after our charter, we continue to honour our legacy while embracing the future—serving with heart, building with purpose, and leading with integrity.
Together, We Serve.
Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
