Monthly Car Boot Market

People wandering through the car boot market

Come discover bargains on all sorts of goods at the Lions Car Boot Market held on the first Sunday of every month (except January) at Terrigal Lagoon Reserve.

You'll find a friendly market atmosphere and a wide variety of goods for sale, including plants, books, DVDs, clothes, tools, shoes, jewelry and homewares.

The market is open to the public from 6:30 am to 12:30 pm, and is located at the corner of Terrigal Drive and Willoughby Road in Terrigal.

Please note that Terrigal Lagoon Reserve is a Council facility and smoking, alcohol (sale or consumption), and glass are not permitted.

For more information, visit our Facebook page or email us at terrigalwamberal@gmail.com.

Please note that the market may occasionally be cancelled due to poor weather, and decisions may not be made until 5:00 am on the day of the market.

Information for Vendors

The Lions Car Boot Market is a great place to buy and sell goods, but there are a few rules and regulations that vendors must follow to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Access to the market is only permitted for cars lined up from the Terrigal Drive side of Willoughby Road. Vendors will need to pay an entrance fee of $25 to enter the Reserve, which will entitle them to a 3x3 metre space. The Reserve will be open at 5:30 am for vendors to set up, but please note that there are no reserved spots, so it is best to arrive early. We may have a limited number of gazebos for hire on the day if you need one.

It is important to note that vendors are not permitted to sell dangerous or illegal goods. Additionally, Central Coast Council regulations state that neither the Lions Club nor the Council provide any public liability cover for equipment or structures owned by other parties. Vendors are responsible for arranging their own public liability policy to cover any risk associated with their equipment or structures.

To promote sustainability, vendors are encouraged to use green and biodegradable packaging where possible, and the use of balloons is prohibited. Shade structures, such as gazebos, should also be weighed down to ensure safety. Any leftover goods must be taken home and cannot be left at the Reserve.

For vendors wishing to sell food or drinks, there are some additional restrictions in place due to health regulations. Hot food and drinks, including water, are not permitted to be sold without prior written consent from Terrigal-Wamberal Lions as they are provided by the Lions Club and our contracted Coffee vendor. All Temporary Food Businesses must have a current Approval to Operate a Temporary Food Business within Central Coast Council and a current notification with the NSW Food Authority. They will also be required to comply with the minimum standards of the NSW Food Act 2003, Food Regulation 2004, Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code, Standard 3.2.3 - Food Premises and the Equipment and National Code for Food Vending Vehicles and Temporary Food Premises. Mobile Food/Coffee Vendors must seek Council approval to ensure compliance with the Local Government Act 1993, the Food Act 2003 and Food Standards Code by contacting Council's Compliance section on 4350 5555. To register your attendance, please contact our club by email (terrigalwamberal@gmail.com) at least fifteen (15) working days prior to the event and provide evidence of your compliance with the above requirements.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Lions Car Boot Market and thank you for your cooperation in following these guidelines. Happy selling!
