2022/23 - Fifth Anniversary
Forty-one members served Teneriffe Lions Club in 2022/23, who raised over $12,000 for community causes. The Club held monthly Dinner Meetings at The Brunswick Hotel, monthly online Business Meetings, created a website and acquired our own BBQ. Major fundraising came from Christmas cakes, Bunnings BBQs and the introduction of Containers for Change.
Fourteen ongoing Service programs included Trinity and Brunswick Street Pantries, Wesley Mission Food preparation, Recycle for Sight, Buy One Bank One community coffee, and the start of Rehoming with TLC. Club BBQs supported numerous charities’ fundraisers at New Farm Park, including Epic Walk for DV. Club members enjoyed social events including Saturday coffees, local theatre, Christmas in the Park, and drinks out.
