Like all service clubs, the Stayton Lions Club is an IRS 501 (c) (4) tax-exempt social welfare organization, NOT a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt charitable or religious organization. What this means is that while the contributions we receive are not taxable to us, it also means your contributions to us are not tax-deductible charitable contributions by you and we cannot provide you a usable tax ID number for that purpose.
