Who are the Lions?

Since 1917, Lions clubs have offered people the opportunity to give something back to their communities. From involving members in projects as local as creating a community skating rink or as far-reaching as bringing sight to the world's blind, Lions clubs have always embraced those committed to building a brighter future for their community.

Today, Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.

Our programs are continually changing to meet new needs and greater demands, but our mission has never wavered: "We Serve."

Lions club members are men and women who strive to make a difference in their local community as well as communities worldwide. Their volunteer efforts go beyond the support of vision care, to addressing unmet health and education needs worldwide.

Join the Lions

The Somersworth Lions are always welcoming new members. Whether you are a new member or were a previous member to another district we would certainly love to have you become a part of our club! We are an active group and have many young members ranging from ages 25 - 75 years old.

Not a resident of Somersworth? That's not a problem at all! We welcome residents from all communities. We have members from all over the tri-city area who are active in our club.

If you are interested, we welcome you to come to one of our regular meetings (4th Monday at 6:30pm) that are held at the skating rink club house at 135 West High Street, Somersworth. If you have any questions please always feel free to email the club at SomersworthLionsClub@gmail.com or text/call our club President, Peter Houde, at (603)834-3420.

Where there's a need, there's a LION.
