Spreading joy at Lions Home for the Elders Bedok
On Tuesday, 4 March 2025, 7 Ladyhill members, together with their family and friends, brought warmth and joy to about 120 residents at the Lions Home for the Elders in Bedok. The team served comforting bowls of tau huay and delicious pau, bringing smiles to the elderly residents.
The afternoon was filled with music as 22 performers from Hearts@Work entertained the residents with songs from the Sound of Music. Later, 3 members from the St. Nicholas Girls’ Alumnus Choir entertained the residents with a lively sing-along session of Chinese pops and oldies. Adding to the cheer, red carnations were distributed to the residents during the sing-along, brightening their day with a thoughtful touch of love and appreciation. Ladyhill members also engaged the residents in a simple game, fostering interaction and moments of shared joy.
It was a fulfilling experience for all involved, reinforcing the power of kindness, music, and companionship in bringing happiness to others.
We are grateful to our volunteers and performers for making this event a memorable one and look forward to more opportunities to give back to the community.
