The Sheridan Sundowners Lions Club has partnered with the Lions Clubs from Big Horn, Buffalo, Kaycee and Story, plus the Childhood Development Centers of Sheridan and Johnson Counties, to purchase a portable Vision Screening machine.
The Club regularly conducts vision screening activities with children from ages 6 months to 72 months of age. The screening is conducted using the latest technology and the focus is on identifying possible vision problems that are most common in early childhood.
The purpose of vision screening is the early identification and treatment by an eye care professional, of amblyopia (lazy eye) and other vision problems that could lead to amblyopia.
