Meetings

Lions Clubs strive to meet the needs of local communities and the world. With 1.35 million members in 206 countries and geographical areas, we are different in many ways, but we share a core belief--community is what we make it, and there are many opportunities to serve others.

The Sheridan Sundowner Lions Club represents a merger of two clubs, the Sheridan Lions Club and the Sheridan Sundowner Lions Club.  Our Lions Club was Chartered in Sheridan, Wyoming on May 16, 1921.

Our Club President is Lion David Beard and First Vice-President is Lion Zach Hein.  Second Vice-President is Lion Gail Vanderpoel.  Our Secretary is Lion Carol Krumm and our Treasurer is Lion Jim Rapp.

Membership chairperson is Lion Don Cherni, and LCIF Coordinator is Lion Jim Rapp.  Our Service Chair is Lion Leslea Rapp.  Board of Directors includes Lions Bill Rathburn, Arnold Hansen, Elmer Reisch, Denice Rollins, Carol Clark and Gail Vanderpoel.

Tail Twister Lion Denice Rollins livens up our meetings and keeps us on our toes, and she is also our Lion Tamer--she keeps track of the equipment for our meetings and service projects. Our webmaster and Marketing Chairperson is Lion Ariel Downing.

At the District level, Lion Jim Rapp is a Past District Governor, and also serves as District 15 representative on the Board of Directors of the Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank. Lion Don Cherni continues his work to promote Leader Dogs for the Blind.

We have numerous Club projects, activities and fund-raisers (listed in detail on the Club Projects page on this web site), and our members continue to be active in District Lions Club functions.
