San Geronimo Valley Lions Club
Grant Program

San Geronimo Valley Lions proudly provides financial support to local charities and needy causes thru its ‘grant program’.  All of the money collected throughout the year goes to either financial grants or to fund service projects such as building new bus shelters.

Effective 2015, we have aligned our grant process to better reflect our income cycle, February Crab Feed and 4th of July parade, flea market and BBQ.

The revised grant process is defined ‘HERE’.

Grant process summary:

  • Spring grant requests may be submitted February 1 thru April 1

  • Fall grant requests may be submitted September 1 thru November 1.

  • A formal grant application needs to be completed and submitted to the Lions Club Secretary.

  • The written grant application will be presented to the Lions Board of Directors meeting (2nd Thursday of the month). To better understand the grant request, the Board strongly suggests the applicant attend the board meeting to explain and justify the request.

  • Upon approval/partial approval, by the Board of Directors, the Board of Directors recommendations will be presented for a vote to the full Lions membership (4th Thursday of the month).

It is not until after full Lions membership approval that a grant will be approved and funded.

The revised grant application form is defined HERE’.
