July 26, 2016 San Francisco Unified Lions Club officially became the 50th club in District 4-C4 under Founder/Charter President Lion Alvin Louie. We chartered our club in District 4-C4 and a centennial club with over 100+ members.
San Francisco Unified Lions Club serves the community of San Francisco and Internationally. Our club members are from a wide demographic in age, race and occupations.
On July 24,2021 we installed our 2nd President (serving her 3rd term) since our inception in July 2016, Lion Carol Fung, a native San Franciscan.
To encourage our youth to participate in community service, The SF Unified Lions Club sponsored a Leos Club consisting of youth aging from 12 to 18. The Leos club create their own community projects. They have a their own Officers. This platform will introduce them into the world of community service and help them build a resume for their future.
The club’s main fundraiser is at the SF Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival selling mini donuts. All funds raised return back into the community.
Our club is a member of the Lions Eye Foundation http://www.lionseyeca-nv.org/ As of 2021 Lion Carol is an advisor of this foundation.
