The San Marcos Bluebonnet Lions Club was chartered on May 1, 1984, as the San Marcos Lioness Club, with 66 charter members.

The San Marcos Bluebonnet Lions Club celebrates 30 years of service to the San Marcos community in July 2022. In July 1992, the San Marcos Bluebonnet Lions Club officially received its Lions Club Charter after serving as a Lioness Club since May 1984. We celebrate our service and our community through acts of service to protect our environment, Reach Out and Read, ending hunger, helping with sight and supporting cures for diabetes and childhood cancer.
