Salem Lions Club - Lions e-Clubhouse

Mission Statement:

To empower Salem Lions members to serve our local communities by providing essential vision and hearing support, addressing health and hunger issues, investing in our youth’s future, and partnering with local organizations to foster self-sufficiency and economic independence.

Donations:

Donations are welcome to support the Salem Lions Charities, Inc. If no specific designation for the use of the funds is made, the Salem Lions board will determine the most appropriate charitable use of the funds.

Note: We use Zeffy to process our donations because they are the only platform that gives 100% of your gift directly to Salem Lions Charities. At checkout, Zeffy will invite you to add an optional contribution to help keep their services free for nonprofits like us. Charitable Activities

FREE VISION SCREENINGS

-Provided to people each year in the Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens Tri-County area.

- Rosa Clark Medical Clinic - Seneca screenings.

VISION PROGRAM SUPPORT

-Free vision testing and glasses for those in need

-6 magnified readers made available for use at no charge to the visually impaired in Oconee County

- Leader Dogs of the Blind support

-Provide support to the Rocky Bottom Retreat & Conference Center

- Storm Eye Medical Univ. of SC support

-Coordinate/host the annual VIP Fishing Tournament for the visually impaired in the Upstate

HEARING AID ASSISTANCE

- Evaluated on a case-by-case basis

EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT

-$1,500 given annually to the principal of T/S Elementary School to use at his/her discretion in support of student events/activities

COMMUNITY SUPPORT

-Collins Home for Children: BBQ labor & gift card support

-Ride to Work support

-Ripple of One support

-Support is provided to United Way on an annual basis as needed/requested for diapers, blankets, school supplies, and backpacks.

-Support for the Salvation Army Christmas Bell Ringing program

The above plus our additional charitable efforts translate to over 4,500 hours in volunteer support provided to the Tri-County area on an annual basis.
