Why Join?
Roselle Lions club members are men and women who strive to make a difference in our community as well as communities worldwide. Our volunteer efforts go beyond the support of vision care, to addressing unmet health and education needs worldwide.
Locally we support many organizations. Among them are:
- Stepping Stones
- Hadley School For the Blind
- Camp Lions in Dixon, IL
- Humanitarian Service Program
- Chicago Comets Blind Beep Baseball
- Lions of Illinois Foundation
- Spectrios Institute (formerly known as the Deicke Center
- Canine Companions for Independence
- Middle School Quest Program
- Hearing and Vision Screening
- Assistance to individuals for eyeglasses and hearing aids
- CRIS Radio (24/7 reading of newspapers and magazine for vision-impaired)
- Large Print Books and Vision Magnifier at Roselle Library
- Veterans programs such as Veterans Hospital picnic, poppy days, Gifts to the Yanks
- Community events and programs such as Bounce Back to School, and lights at Turner Pond
We also have a great time with our club year round: from Christmas parties to baseball games, golf outings and more.
