Meetings

The Quincy Valley Lions Club was chartered in 1995 with 25 members.  We are part of an international organization founded with a desire to serve our community.  We have several projects we use to raise funds to better serve our community's need.

Some of the past projects we have accomplished are; playground equipment in North Park, a scoreboard for the Quincy Youth Baseball, police video camera, skateboard park, directional signs, downtown banners, downtown Christmas decorations, Quincy Community Center Kitchen, George Community Hall tables.  We donated $5000 towards the new library and $5000 towards playground equipment for the elementary school.  We provide scholarships, eye glasses, hearing aids.  Each year we host a free health screening van.  We also are involved in the Quincy Beautification program and participate in Relay for Life.

Our club is very active in our community and provide several fun activities each year. We host the Farmer-Consumer Awareness Day Parade on the second Saturday in September.  We have a straw maze and pumpkin patch the month of October, Turkey Bingo in November and provide a Quincy Community Christmas in December for over 200 families with toys and food.

We want everyone to see a better tomorrow and we believe everyone deserves a healthy life so we also support sight, hearing and diabetes programs and the International Peace Poster Contest.

We are proud to be a part of such a large organization meeting the challenges and needs of those around us.  WE SERVE.
