ANDREW PATTERSON MEMORIAL EYEGLASS RECYCLING

Plano Early Lions have a number of collection sites for gently used eyeglasses. We regularly pick up these glasses, then clean and sort them and send them to Texas LIons Eyeglass Recycling Center in Midland, Texas for refracting and further sorting. From there they are sent to missions in developing countries and rural areas of Texas. There they are fitted for those who cannot afford glasses! Each day - 7 days a week 1500 pairs are fitted, totaling over 500,000 pairs per year!
