PLAINFIELD LIONS CLUB 2025 SCHOLARSHIP
Scholarship Award, $2,000, for each of our High Schools and PA, and, for this year, we have two additional $1,000 scholarships focused on patriotism.
APPLICATIONS MUST BE RETURNED TO STUDENT SERVICES NO LATER THAN
March 20th, 2025
Priority for the Lions scholarships will be awarded to students that are enrolled full-time in the following education or health related fields.
- Teaching Profession
- Any Medical Field
Students that have an exceptional service record may also be considered.
BASIC CRITERIA
Candidates for the scholarships must meet the following criteria:
- Either natural born or naturalized citizen as determined by the United States Immigration Service for Legal Citizenship or a permanent resident of the United States.
- Must be a legal resident of School District #202 and have been enrolled and have attended a Plainfield High School for at least one (1) year immediately prior to the year of the scholarship award.
- Must have an acceptable attendance record at a Plainfield High School.
- Should be involved in extra-curricular activities, community volunteer work, and display good citizenship.
- Plans to be a full-time (12 or more hours of credit each term) student at a post-secondary educational institution (including community college) offering a degree in the fields listed above.
- Must be used in the fall semester of accepted college/university of the year awarded.
- For Patriotism Scholarship: Prepare an essay regarding what Patriotism means to you.

Essays will be evaluated based on clarity of thought, originality, personal connection to the topic, and overall quality of writing.
