5 Scholarship Awards x $2,000. One award for each of our High Schools and Plainfield Academy.

PLAINFIELD LIONS CLUB SCHOLARSHIP 2026

APPLICATIONS MUST BE RETURNED TO STUDENT SERVICES NO LATER THAN: 

Thursday, March 19th, 2026

 

 

Priority for the Lions scholarships will be awarded to students that are enrolled full-time in the following education or health related fields.  

 

  1. Teaching Profession
  2. Any Medical Field

 

Students that have an exceptional service record may also be considered.

 

BASIC CRITERIA

 

Candidates for the scholarships must meet the following criteria:

 

  1. Either natural born or naturalized citizen as determined by the United States Immigration Service for Legal Citizenship or a permanent resident of the United States.

 

  1. Must be a legal resident of School District #202 and have been enrolled and have attended a Plainfield High School for at least one (1) year immediately prior to the year of the scholarship award.

 

  1. Must have an acceptable attendance record at a Plainfield High School.

 

  1. Should be involved in extra-curricular activities, community volunteer work, and display good citizenship.

 

  1. Plans to be a full-time (12 or more hours of credit each term) student at a post-secondary educational institution (including community college) offering a degree in the fields listed above.

 

  1. Must be used in the fall semester of accepted college/university of the year awarded.

 

  1. Awarded students and families are invited to attend one of our regular Monday evening Lion’s meetings to talk a little to our membership about their future plans and goals, and to celebrate the student even more.  Students and families are not required to attend one of our regular meetings to receive our scholarship.
