Lions Clubs International work to support five major service initiatives. These are Vision, Diabetes, Childhood Cancer, Hunger and the Environment. We are the world’s largest service organization. 100% of the funds we raise go out to support our communities.
In your local community Phelps Lions have:
Provided food baskets and gift cards for 40 local families at Christmas Provided for 68 students at Headstart to receive the Weekly Reader Program Provided vision screening services to local children and bought eyeglasses for several children Sponsored Scout Troop 46 in Phelps Planted flowers and beautified the Memorial Park Collected eyeglasses to be recycled/donated to those in need around the world Worked on a new sign for Resthaven Cemetery Presented three Midlakes Seniors with Community Service Awards Received the Mary Preston Foundation Award for Organization of the Year in 2018 |
