The White Rock Lioness Club was chartered in 1987. At that time we were sponsored by the White Rock Lions. When that association folded, our sponsorship was assumed by the Peace Arch Monarchs. Starting this year the incoming executive is: President Marilyn Eichorn, Vice President Violet Rice, Secretary Alice Sinclair, Treasurer Charlotte Grant, Past President  Margaret Hudson, 1 year director Gayle Scott, 2 year director Ann Dodds, Lioness Tamer Ingrid Iversen, Tail Twister Dorothy Lynch, Membership Patricia Kroeker. At this time there are 6 charter members with the club. We meet on the first Monday of the month from September to June at 11:30 a.m. at the Semiahoo Fish and Game Club. Our most recent fundraiser was Sunday, June 20 where we held a bake sale at the Crescent Beach Legion in participation with the Peace Arch Monarch's pancake breakfast. Our stock of baking was sold out by 10:50 a.m. We would like to thank the Monarchs for allowing us to participate in their Father's Day event. Also our many thanks to the White Rock Youth Ambassadors. They are the most delightful energetic group always right on the spot when needed. We support approximately 25 local organizations dealing with women, children and the elderly and will continue to do this as long as our funding continues.
