Paris Lions Clubs Projects-

Legacy – A lasting impact on our community:  Twin Lakes East Park Lions Pavilion and Lion water fountain. Memorial Bench on Courthouse Lawn, Donation to Twin Lakes All Abilities Playground, Stall at the Edgar County 4-H Fairgrounds.  

Sharing the Vision – Helping others see a brighter future:  Free Retinal Screenings, Free Children’s Vision Screenings, Provide eyeglasses to those in need, Sponsorship to Camp Lions, Contribute to Leader Dogs for the Blind, providing vision aides to local schools for vision impaired students.

Preserving Our Environment – Protecting our only home:  Tree plantings at Paris Cooperative High School, Methodist Park, Edgar County Fairgrounds and others, Recycling used hearing aids, ink cartridges, eyeglasses, pop tabs, cell phones, keys to recondition or recycle.  We are also working with PCHS BIONIC club, collecting plastic bottle caps to recycle into landscaping beautification items.  

 Raising Diabetes Awareness –  Saving Lives through early detection:  Free retinal screenings, donations to Edgar County Diabetes Association and annual Diabetes Awareness Campaign.

 Serving Pediatric Cancer Patients – Giving families one less thing to worry about:  Donate gift cards to help families afford travel to much needed treatments, DO It Group Donation, collecting items for the 'wish list' provided to help patients be more comfortable during treatments, such as lotions, activity books, lip balm, etc.

Feeding the Hungry – Serving the most basic of needs:  Donating to the Community Food Pantry, Community Nurse holiday food baskets, Camp Lions snacks,   

Youth Services – Enhancing a happy childhood:  Since 1969, when it was known as the Paris Lions 4 O'Clock League, to 50 years later, now known as T-Ball,  Paris Lion Minor League is our longest-running youth service.  Our LEO Club is giving area youth an opportunity to shape their own futures and that of their community through leadership and service.  We also serve with Shop With a Cop, Contributions to Imagination Library, Christmas for Kids,  

Disaster relief – Through our Lions Clubs International Foundation, we can send urgently needed relief to families around the world when they need it most, even if those who need us are right next door.  During the pandemic, Paris Lions continue to answer the call to serve.

Humanitarian Services  – Because, where there’s a need, there’s a Lion:  Free hearing screenings, free hearing aids to those in need, Assisting monthly Red Cross Blood Draw, supporting Faith in Action. 

 Our members also volunteer at many other services through church, civic, health, youth, senior, disabled, family and community services.
