2021 Year in Review

Even with the crazy year 2021 was, Lions were still active in our community volunteering and supporting Palmer where we could. Here are just a few of the things we did this year. For more information and areas we volunteer and serve in go to our Club Projects Page.

We continued to help prepare meals for Kids Kupboard, volunteer at the local sporting games, had members volunteering at the senior centers, and more.

We had our annual Gun Show in a new location last year at the MTA Event Center (Ice Rink) in Palmer.

We continued to work the Purple Gate at the Alaska State Fair & provide the lunch for bidders at the 4H Auction.

Palmer Lions were out doing roadway cleanups, park cleanups, and serving lunches at the local parks over the summer.

We got to meet the wonderful service dog that is now in one of our local elementary schools to help children with special needs. It helps calm students who are experiencing anxiety attacks, keep runners from running because it can sense their emotion changes, and so much more. It has been a great asset to our local school.

We prepared Personal Care Cases for people in need. These were passed out in our community as well as to other groups. Lions love working together towards causes that will help those in our community.

Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
