OLATHE LIONS – READING ACTION PROGRAM
Olathe Lions hosted this event at area elementary schools. The Reading Action Program was a successful launch as the students were eager to be “hands on.” Books were presented by members of the Olathe Lions to kindergarten, first and second graders. These students signed hundreds of thank you notes to show their appreciation.
OLATHE LIONS – EYESIGHT PROGRAM

Locally, the Olathe Lions Club work on these same goals with vision care experts at Family Eye Care. Doctors at the eye care center are members of the Lions Club and have gained local recognition for their work.
OLATHE LIONS – VISION SCREENING
Lions save sight. Since Helen Keller challenged Lions to become “Knights of the Blind” in 1925, we have improved eye care for millions of people worldwide. Locally. Olathe Lions participate with contributing organizations and serve members of our community through the Mobile Health Screening Program.
Recent screenings were held at the Heartland Early Childhood Center in Olathe Kansas. At community events, professionals and volunteers man each station and provide free screenings that may include: visual acuity, glaucoma, and blood pressure.
