Ordinary People Who Do Amazing Things
Cotswold FossewayLions Club is a community organisation dedicated to helping and supporting those in need. All lions are members of the Lions Club International and every club works together for the greater good.
What do lions do?
Lions Clubs are proud to say that all funds that they raise go to good causes both locally and abroad. Lions Clubs share a common mission and code of ethics regardless of where their members live and work. This provides a core foundation for our support of local communities across the world. Our principles involve thinking of others first, and acting to benefit the public interest. Lions clubs are a mix of both male and female members, some in full time employment and others retired, however we are all focused on the same aims and work together to achieve those aims.
Cotswold Fosseway Lions Club
Our club supports a number of Lions Clubs International Global Causes. One of these is Hunger with the objective to ensure all community members have access to nutritious food. As part of this, the club helps out with a food collecting initiative. Every two weeks, members from the club will collect the donated food and other items from the Westwood Centre in Northleach and take them to the North Cotswold Food Bank from which they can be distributer to those in need.
Over the last year, up to 31 Mar 19, we had delivered 232.43kg of items,or 36 stones and 8 pounds. Thanks to all in the community who have contributed to this delivery which we shall continue to do whilst this need exists.
