The North East Lions Club is proud to offer a Scholarship for North East Seniors
Graduating in 2024!
Eligibility: Applicant must be a graduating senior and a resident of North East, PA. They must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher, and have been accepted to a college, university or trade school.
Requirements: The Lions Club Motto is “WE SERVE”. Our goal is to make the community a better place by volunteering and aiding those in need. Please submit the following:
- This application, filled out in its entirety
- A copy of your college, university or trade school acceptance letter
- A list of groups/organizations you have volunteered with and a description of projects or activities you have helped with.
- A 300-500 word essay describing the value and life lessons you have acquired through your experiences volunteering. Share how this will impact your volunteerism in the future.
Deadline: This completed application, along with the other requirements need to be mailed to the North East Lions Club, P.O. Box 323, North East, PA 16428. It must be received by April 20, 2024.
Award: In 2024 North East Lions Club will be providing $2000 total to one or more recipients. All submissions will be read by the Lions Club Scholarship Committee and the award(s) will be presented at the Senior Convocation in May. An article and photo will be published in the North East News Journal.
