Welcome to Nawala Metro Lions Club (NMLC)  

The Lions Club of NAWALA METRO (THE CLUB NUMBER - 111455), which comes under The Lion District 306 C2- (Sri lanka) is a volunteer organization dedicated to leadership development through community service. Lions are an international network of 1.3 million men & women in 205 countries and geographic areas who work together to answer the needs that challenge communities around the world.

Lions Club of NAWALA METRO was chartered on June 21st, 2011 by DG Deshabandu/Deshashakthi Lion Tilak Perera MJF/JP (2010/2011). A group of twenty one young and enthusiastic new members who are dedicated to work towards the betterment of the community joined hands together and as a result this new club was born and the club was extended by Lions Club of Jawatte Sumit .

Nawala Metro believes and aims at Making a difference to that community with a series of life changing programs and that includes; 

1.“Helping Hands” which is aimed at helping the community for a better tomorrow.

2. "The Green Team" which is aimed at creating a sustainable environment for further generations. 

3. "Leader In You" which is aimed at helping to groom better leaders for tomorrow.

4."Support A School" Is a Signature Project of Lions Club of Nawala Metro to     Improve a school which have come to the brink of closing down due to lack of    support, neglect and remoteness.

On the 437th day after the club inaugaration (2012 August) we made a yet another impact in our district by sponsoring a 25 year old Leo Club Leo Club of Mahanama College, Colombo3.

Leo Club of Mahanama College is one of the best school base Leo Clubs in Multiple District 306 with number of excelance award under their banner.

The Lions Club of Nawala Metro has a record of excellence in all that we do. And also we hope to do our utmost for the betterment of our community with unmatched integrity and commitment.
