Mowrystown Lions Club Projects
100% of the funds raised and collected from the public by the Mowrystown Lions Club are returned to the community in the form of projects, programs, and donations.
*Although we support the District, State and International projects, most of our work and our funds are directed to our local community.
Some of our projects and fundraisers include:
Diehl Park Clean Up - Each spring the Mowrystown Lions Club partners with the Mowrystown FFA, the American Legion, local churches, Whiteoak Valley Grange, 4-H groups and the community to clean up Diehl Park in Mowrystown, Ohio.
Kamp Dovetail - Mowrystown Lions Club joins with area Lions Clubs to serve breakfast to a special group of kids at Kamp Dovetail at Rocky Fork Lake.
Kibler Lumber Grill Out - Thanks to Kibler Lumber, Mt. Orab for letting the Mowrystown Lions Club participate in the community cookout fundraiser. A great way to raise money for our community outreach projects.
Knock Out Hunger - Mowrystown Lions Club purchases enough food for a family to prepare a complete Thanksgiving meal. We work with the Bright Local Schools, which compiles our list and helps distribute these meal kits to the selected families. This project began in 2022 and we served thirty families. In 2025, twenty-five families were served.
Annual Scholarship Awards - Mowrystown Lions Club provides a scholarship annually for a student who demonstrates outstanding leadership and community involvement.

Eyeglass Collection - Our club collects old and unused eyeglasses through multiple collection boxes in our community. If you have any old or unused eyeglasses lying around your home, please take them to one of our collection boxes and we will recycle them and get them to a person in need. Please help give others the Gift of Sight!
