WHO ARE THE MOWRYSTOWN LIONS?
The Mowrystown Lions Club is made up of service-minded men and women working together for a better community. We make a positive difference and help where we are needed; living up to the Lions motto "We Serve".
How do we help our community?
- Collect and recycle old and used eyeglasses.
- Collect and recycle pill bottles for Matthew 25 Ministries.
- Hold annual fundraisers to raise money to put back into the community.
- Donate food to the local food pantry.
- Donate money to local charities and causes.
- Provided scholarships to graduating seniors from Whiteoak High School.
- Organize and partner with the community for the annual Diehl Park Clean Up.
- Partner with local Lions to serve breakfast at Kamp Dovetail.
- Sponsor and advise the Whiteoak High School Leo Club.
- Donate raffle prizes for the Bright Elementary School Carnival.
- Donate to the Ernie Blankenship Tele-A-Thon in suppport of the Highland County Society for Children and Adults.
- Sponsor the annual Mowrystown Christmas Parade.
