Who We Are:

The Lions Club of Mount Panorama Inc is a proud member of Lions Clubs International, the world’s largest service organization. Based in Bathurst, New South Wales, we are committed to making a positive impact in our community and beyond. For years, our club has worked to uplift those in need, promote health initiatives, support local projects, and foster a strong sense of community spirit.

We strive to embody the Lions' motto of "We Serve," ensuring that every action we take helps improve lives and strengthen connections.

Our Projects and Initiatives

• Riverside Markets: These vibrant monthly markets bring together local vendors and the community. They provide a space for small businesses to thrive while creating a lively atmosphere for all attendees.
• Lions Eye Health Program (LEHP): Dedicated to vision health, we conduct screenings and promote awareness of preventable vision loss, ensuring our community remains informed and supported.
• Catering for the Community: We regularly offer catering services at various events in Bathurst, supporting our Club’s fundraising efforts and providing affordable, delicious food to locals.
• Youth Support and Development: Our Club is passionate about mentoring and involving young people like Charlie Coopes, who exemplify the values of service and leadership through volunteer work.
• Lions Youth of the Year Quest: One of our most cherished youth programs is the Lions Youth of the Year Quest. This prestigious program offers young people the opportunity to develop their leadership and public speaking skills, challenge themselves in interviews, and showcase their talents. Our Club actively supports and promotes this annual competition, encouraging local high school students to participate. Through this Quest, we aim to foster future leaders by providing them with valuable experience and recognition for their efforts.
• Participants in the Youth of the Year Quest engage in a variety of activities, including public speaking, community involvement, and interviews with judges. Many participants have gone on to achieve success in various fields, thanks to the confidence and skills gained during the competition. Our Club is proud to contribute to the development of these exceptional young individuals, and we look forward to continuing our involvement in this important program.

Leadership and Legacy
Our leadership team is dedicated to driving the Club’s vision of service. Judy, who made history as the first female President of the Club, and her husband Michael, a Past District Governor, have provided invaluable guidance over the years. Judy currently serves as the First Vice District Governor, bringing a wealth of experience and passion to her role. Under her leadership, the Lions Club of Mount Panorama continues to grow, making a lasting impact across the Bathurst region.
