The Millersville Lions Club operates a Medical Den as part of a way to serve our community. The Medical Den is available to anyone who is in need of borrowing medical equipment.
What items does the Medical Den carry in their inventory?
We have everything from hospital beds to walkers, bedside commodes, canes, crutches, wheelchairs, transport chairs to smaller item like knee braces, hearing aids and bedside tables. We even have a dialysis chair if anyone finds the need for one.
How does one access needed items?
People can send an email to MLCMedicalDen@gmail.com and include their name and phone number to request an item. Lion Lori will reach back out to confirm that the item is available and then arrange a time for the item to be picked up at our Medical Den location on Columbia Avenue in Lancaster.
Does the Medical Den accept items for donation?
Yes! We currently accept walkers, bedside commodes, canes, crutches, wheelchairs, transport chairs etc. We no longer accept hospital beds since they are so heavy and hard to transport. We ask that items are in in great to new condition and thoroughly cleaned. Items will be inspected upon drop off and if not in an acceptable condition will be turned away.
How can someone go about making a monetary donation directly to the medical den?
Anyone who would like to donate can do so directly to Lion Lori. We can accept cash or check. All funds received are then earmarked for furture Medical Den purchases.
