With the pool opening, please bear with us and understand that we want the safest opening we can have. We have a few new rules that we are hopeful people will follow to ensure we have a safe and fun season.

If you have symptoms of Covid-19, have tested positive for Covid-19, or have been exposed to someone with Covid-19 in the last 14 days, please stay home. Check your temperature before coming to the pool.

We will have hand sanitizing stations located throughout the deck and grass area. Please practice hand sanitation procedures.

The pool picnic tables, handrails, slide, bathrooms and play area will be sanitized daily for your safety.

All chairs must be taken home daily and can not be stored in the bathrooms. All chairs in the bathrooms now must be removed within the first week of the pool opening. Any chairs left in the bathrooms will be removed and discarded.

Bathrooms will have a one-way entrance and exit.

There will be marks on the pool deck 6 feet apart for the slide, diving board, and snack bar area, please follow them.

We will not be loaning out goggles, dive sticks, or sponge balls this year so plan accordingly.

Lifeguards are here for the safety of the swimmers. They are not here to enforce social distancing. Please speak to children about social distancing before coming to the pool. By now, everyone knows what the 6-foot social distancing is and we ask that our members follow this.

We have a lot of area to spread out in the grass so please do so.

We are all in this together, and we will get through this together. Please be kind. Please respect one another. If you have any concerns or questions, please feel free to reach out to us. We want everyone to have a fun and safe summer!

Our Proud History

The Millersville Lions Club received its charter from Lions Club International on May 25, 1932, during the Great Depression, when considerable needs were evident in the community.  The Club helped with medical expenses and fuel for heat and created a college scholarship fund.  In the 1950's, the Club loaned wheelchairs and hospital beds.
In the 1960's, the Millersville Lions Club Swimming Pool $100,000 project was assisted by the sale of $100 bonds and a bank loan.  The pool was dedicated in 1961 during the Millersville bicentennial celebration.  After nine years, all debts had been repaid.  The pool continues as a place for recreation and and swimming instruction in the community, and is a source of income for the Club's charities.
Historically, the Millersville Lions Club has sold light bulbs, brooms and calendars, held circuses, supported the Blind & Visually Impaired through donations to Eye Research, Beacon Lodge, the Association for the Blind, and helped provide surgery and glasses for the needy.  Other Club projects included pancake breakfasts, spaghetti dinners, Adopt-A-Highway, Christmas fruit baskets and poinsettias for shut-ins, track relays for kids, and recognition for outstanding students.
Since 1954, the Millersville Lions Club has conducted an Easter Egg Hunt.  As of 1965, the members have annually decorated and scattered over 100 dozen eggs!
The Millersville Lions Club has fostered community memories, traditions and spirit, helped persons in need, and served humanity for over 80 years.
