WE SERVE

Melville Lions Club is growing; however, we still need new members to help the expanding needs of serving the community.  For the 2024-25 Lion's year the Club has decided new members pay nothing for Club Dues.  If you are interested in becoming a Lion please select the Contact Us link at the left, select Membership and send us a note. The Melville Lions Club is a part of Lions Clubs International, a network of volunteers who work together to meet the needs of local communities and the world every day because they share a core belief - to serve their community.    

All Lions Clubs charge yearly membership dues.  Dues support the charitable branch of Lions Clubs International Foundation and our own Provincial Sight & Service Foundation.   Part of dues are also used for administration of Clubs as Lions By-Laws prohibit using any public funds for this purpose; all money raised from the Public must be returned to the Public.   Currently (2024-25) Melville Lions Club Yearly Membership dues are $105 per member.  If an additional member is anyone who resides at the same mailing address as another member the additional member dues are $80. These fees may be subsidised by the Club, the amount decided yearly by Club Members.  The Club has decided "New Members" will pay zero for their first year as a Lion. 

Kindness in Action.  When caring people join together, roll up their sleeves and take action to make their community better, it’s a beautiful thing—and an incredible feeling for everyone involved. That’s Lions. Being a Lion is about leading by example, building relationships and improving the world through kindness. It’s 1.4 million caring men and women serving together so they can make a lasting impact and change more lives.

Lions are active. Our motto is "We Serve." Lions are part of a global service network, doing whatever is necessary to help our local communities.
