July 9, 2025:   Melissa Toren, Director of KCAT  Public Media.  She will update us on what's happenng at KCAT and bring us up to date on new programming.  Tune in to KCAT at Comcast channel 15 for residents of Los Gatos/Monte Sereno.   The studio is located at Los Gatos High School.                                                                                                                                       
July 16, 2025:  Clayton Toller, Stanford Blood Center, blood Drive co-ordinator, will be making a presentation about the upcoming blood Drive.                                                                                                                                         
July 23, 2025:  Los Gatos Lions Stanford Blood Drive at the Los Gatos Lodge.                                                                                                                                      
July 30, 2025:  This could be the last Lions club meeting held at the Los Gatos Lodge.                                                                                                                                                                            
August 6,2025:  Anita Enander, board advisor for Friends of Bear Creek Stables, will share how the organization is transforming a historic site in Los Gatos into an education center with a wide variety of programs for kids and adults, as well as people with disabilities.                                                
August 13, 2025:  Rob Fong, NASA research engineer.  Topic: "Hot Helium Wind Tunnel".  Rob is one of the authors of  "Framework for National Airspace System (NAS) Level Sustainability Assessment of New Aircraft"                                                                                                  
August 20, 2025:  Los Gatos High School football coach, Mark Krail.  This is always a very welcome annual presentation to get the update and preview of the season.  You will get to meet some of the wildcat team members.                                                                                                                   
August 27, 2025:  Gina Castaneda, San­ta Cruz Coun­ty, Cal­i­for­nia, pro­ba­tion offi­cer, is a return guest speaker.  She will talk about her work with troubled teens.  Gina Castaneda’s suc­cess in unit­ing rival gang mem­bers from South San­ta Cruz Coun­ty into a cham­pi­onship indoor-soc­cer team is the sub­ject of an eight-minute doc­u­men­tary that aired on ESPN and ABC.  In 2008, she founded the Aztecas Soccer Program for Latino juvenile probationers, bringing together opposing gang members and turning them into teammates on and off the field. She has received numerous awards for her work, including Probation Officer of the Year in the county, the California Assembly, and the prestigious Jefferson Award. Her story was featured in an ESPN mini-documentary, “The Save.”

The company founders, Carl Salas and Dan O’Brien.                                                                                                                                                                       
September 17, 2025:  Paul Johnson, Superintendent of Los Gatos Union School District.    The District serves transitional kindergarten through eighth grade students. Today, approximately 2,650 students are enrolled at Blossom Hill Elementary, Daves Avenue Elementary, Lexington Elementary and Louise Van Meter Elementary, and R. J. Fisher Middle School.
