Leeward Oahu Lions Easter Bunnies!!!
On March 24, 2022, two Leeward Oahu Easter Bunnies, Lion Virginia
and Lion Gail, volunteered their time helping Linda from Waipahu Town
Center prepare Easter goodie bags for their Spring Fair in April. The Spring
fair will be filled with games and rides. They will even have a fish pond game
which kids can fish for these goodie bag.
Have a safe and Happy Easter!
Kalei'opu'u Vaccination Clinic
Enough already!!! Covid has kept Leeward Oahu Lions hostage long enough!
We're starting to slowly begin our, "in-person", volunteer services to our
community.
On January 8 and 29, 2022, Leeward Oahu Lions, Lion Erica,
Lion Heather, Lion Susan, and Lion Gail, volunteered to
help Kalei'opu'u with their very first Covid 19 Vaccination Clinic.
There were more than 50 families, ranging from K - 6, that were
serviced during this time. It was a success!
WE SERVED!

The clubs in Zone 2 saw need for blood donations that they agreed to help
the Blood Bank of Hawaii reach out to the communities for blood Donation.
Pearl City's Lions Club, especially member Charlenee, was very instrumental
in coordinating the Blood Drive and securing sites at many locations to make
it easy for communities to donate much needed blood. Thank you Pearl City
and Charlenee. Thank you for those who have and will be donating blood
during our drive. But even after our drive ends, we want to encourage
everyone to continue to "Give".

Waipahu Elementary Kalei'opu'u Elementary
August Ahrens Elementary
Leeward Oahu Lions conducted their first hearing screening project. We were able to serve 1,000 students in the Waipahu Complex.
A HUGE mahalo to PDG Shannon Ching and Lion June Ching for helping with the coordination of this project, which included setting up and coordinating volunteers from various Lions clubs.
But…this entire project would not be successful if it weren’t for the following volunteers from other Lions Clubs: Waikiki 2000, Kamehameha, Pearl City, Kapolei City, Mililani, Kapahulu-Moiliili, Oahu Central, Waialua, Chinatown, Ala Moana, Kahaluu, and Kalakaua. We were also blessed with having volunteers from Hawaii State Teachers Association-Retirees, and Manoa TBA.
It was such a success that all Waipahu Complex Elementary Schools are looking forward to next year’s hearing screening.
MAHALO! MAHALO! MAHALO! …
Fellow Lions and Retired teachers!!! See you again next year!
