LEO WINS ESSAY CONTEST! Leavenworth Leo, Elise Brulotte, recently won first place in an essay contest, sponsored by the Multiple District 19 Lions Leadership Foundation. Leos who entered were asked to write about an individual who has made a significant contribution to society in the last 60 years. For her essay Leo Elise wrote about Oprah. She received a check in the amount of $1,000. Congratulations Leo Elise!

Leavenworth's Leo Club has been formed in Leavenworth for high-schoolers. Leo club members must be between the ages of 12 and 18. Lion Dorothy or Lion Joyce are their Club Advisors. The Leo Charter Night was May 18, 2014. For more information, visit:

TRUCKERS' SURVEY
The final truckers' survey was sponsored by the Washington Department of Transportation. The data is collected and examined by Central Washington University. The information provides the state DOT valuable insight on where improvements, etc., are needed.
