The Kaukauna Lions Club was sponsored by the Appleton Lions Club. Our club was chartered on June 16, 1936 with 29 chartered members. International President Frank V. Birch was the guest speaker that evening at our charter night dinner and dance program at the Rainbow Gardens.
Over the years our club has grown to it's present day membership of 73. We have a great mix of people from different walks of life - everyone brings something to the table. Along with offering financial support to various charities, the Kaukauna Lions Club is actively involved in various outreach and community service projects. These activities vary and can be local or even something across the world! Some of the activities we do on a regular basis include:
- Help those in the community with medical bills through the Sturm Humanitarian Foundation
- Collecting eyeglasses
- Vision screening for children
- Building wheelchair ramps
- Transport corea eye tissue for transplants
- Sell food and beverages during concerts at Hydro Park
- Christmas Adopt-a-Family
- Bingo at St. Paul Elder Nursing Home
- Scholarships for high school students
- Fox Vaelly Medical Loan Locker
Where there's a need, there's a Lion!
