Making Leis for New Citizens & Cleaning and Sorting Used Eyeglasses (2/27/2025)

Members learned how to make leis from their fellow Lion Elaine. The recipient of these leis are those that receive their citizenship.
Diligent hands cleaned and sorted almost 200 glasses and prepared them for distribution. AWESOME JOB LIONS!

To kick-off the New Year, Kapolei City Lions Club volunteers supported the Walmart Kapolei Wellness Fair.

U.S. Vets Hawaii Christmas Donations (12/25/2024)

KCLC Club members pitched in together to gift our local Veterans with personal hygiene items such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, washcloths and soap. The club members generously donated saimin, candies and even handmade Kleenex holders to hold their tissues.

The public had the opportunity to drop off any e-waste to our wonderful volunteers at Kapolei HS parking lot. This helps the environment by keeping recyclable items out of our landfill.

Kapolei Parkway Bridge Community Service Project (9/28/2024)

With paint and paint brushes in hand, many volunteers from various organizations came together on the Kapolei Parkway Bridge to clean the graffiti. This was a community effort and thank you to those who dedicated many hours to restore the wall of this bridge. This community service project included the Honolulu Police Department, Neighborhood Security Watch volunteers, Kapolei City Lions, Kaupea Hawaiian Homeland residents, and other members of the Kapolei community.

Kapolei City Lions and Kapolei HS Leos volunteered in front of Walmart Kapolei as generous customers donated various non-perishable goods. A total of 660 lbs was collected and delivered to St. Judes Catholic Church who distribute the food to people in need within the community.

Cleaning & Sorting Used Eyeglasses (8/29/2024)

The Kapolei City Lions and Leos gathered together to clean and sort used eyeglasses that have been collected. This prepares the glasses for distribution to those in need, often through medical missions or to organizations focused on eye care.

Kapolei City Lions were distributing information promoting Diabetes Awareness. The Vision Center offering free vision screenings while the Pharmacy offered free blood glucose screenings as part of the event.
