Blood has antithetic qualities. It is SCARCE, PRICELESS, LIFESAVING, NON-MANUFACTURABLE but at the same time readily AVAILABLE, cost almost NOTHING, and easily REGENERATED in humans.

Blood collected from a Donor is called Whole Blood. In most cases, those in need of blood, do not need Whole Blood but need one or more components. Now-a-days most of the blood banks, after collection, split the whole blood into its components like R.B.C.s, Platelets and Plasma. Thus, one unit of blood donated by a person can save upto THREE LIVES.

Lions Club of Juhu has been known for the Blood & Thalassemia related activities since many years. It is a major facilitator and promoter of Blood Donation & Thalassemia minor detection Camps.

To add Vibrancy and Velocity to this fine activity, our Club has set afloat a theme.......

“We need You to save Life . . . . Join the TEAM RED”

A person, who pledges to participate in any one of the following activities, gets the badge of honor & become a member of “TEAM RED”

Donate Blood: Pledge to donate blood, once a year.
Sponsor Activities: Pledge to sponsor one camp by donating Rs. 10,000/-.
Be a Volunteer: Pledges to be a volunteer in Five camps.
