Meetings

The Joliet Noon Lions Club is currently involved with these community projects:

 

  • Concerts on the Hill at the Bicentennial Park - Every Thursday evening in August,  a group of Lions pass amongst the public to help collect money for the upkeep of the Bicentennial Park
  • Christmas Food Drive - Spanish Center of Joliet
  • Joliet High School's Student of the Month Program - A student is chosen by each of the area High Schools (Joliet West, Joliet Central and Joliet Catholic Academy) and they come to meetings to learn about Lionism and have the opportunity to listen to a variety of speakers from the community.
  • Annual Joliet High School Student Recognition Dinner
  • Hearing Screening Bus Sponsor
  • Glaucoma Screening Bus Sponsor
  • Collection of used glasses and hearing aids (see Used Hearing Aid and Eyeglass Collection page on website for locations)
  • Collection of used ink cartridges, old keys, pop & beer pull tabs, old cell phones (see Used Hearing Aid and Eyeglass Collection page on website for locations)
  • Provide new eye glasses for those in need in the Joliet area
  • Provide hearing aids for those in need in the Joliet area working with our Lions of Illinois Foundation
  • 'Feeding Our Heros' providing lunch for the ER day & evening shifts 3 times a year.
