HOUT BAY VILLAGE MARKET in Association with The Lions Club of Hout reopened in September 2023. It is one of the finest craft markets in the Western Cape, where crafters travel from far and wide to exhibit their crafts.

The market is open EVERY SUNDAY FROM SEPTEMBER TO MAY (weather permitting) from 9.00 - 15:00.

We are situated on the Village Green, Main Road, Hout Bay surrounded by magnificent mountains and dotted with indigenous trees.  Many Hout Bay residents, local and overseas visitors make sure to have a trip to our market on their to do list.

The crafters themselves are a happy-go-lucky bunch who illustrate the peaceful country vibe that is Hout Bay.

To enter Hout Bay from the Cape Town CBD could travel along the scenic coastal route past  Llandudno ...you will find us on the Main Road and there is ample free parking - turn left at the Shell Garage and immediately right under the archway.Perhaps  after visiting the market you  could drive  onto Cape Point via the famous Chapman's  Peak Drive.

Hout Bay Village Market is an outing for the whole family, a place where one can browse and purchase, picnic and relax and just soak up the sun whilst enjoying the Hout Bay experience.

All funds created from the market are used to pay for a multitude of projects we cover in the valley, including elderly, disabled, diabetics, local clinics as well as a variety of youth projects.
