In a year's time, the Hillsboro Lions Club will have been involved in all of the listed projects below!

Hillsboro SUMMERFEST, July 11-14 this year, which is now over.

Through the Reading is Fundamental program we provide free books to the Hillsboro-Deering and Washington Elementary schools.  This is normally done three times a year.

Thanksgiving Dinner for Seniors

Christmas Food Baskets for the Needy

We recycle eyeglasses and hearing aids all year long.  We have collection boxes at the Post Office, OSRAM,  American Legion, and Knapton Reade and Woods, We also recycle pull tabs from cans which are given to the Shriners.

Provide Vision Screening for the school children in four schools. 

We assist the school nurses in providing socks, underwear and health supplies for the children who need some assistance.

We assist in eye exams and eyeglasses for those in need of assistance.

We also assist in obtaining hearing aids.

On a monthly basis we donate to the "End 68 hours of Hunger"

We also donate to the new back packs project for the school students.
