Reading is Fundamental (R.I.F.). Distribute dictionaries to the third graders in Hillsboro and Washington.

We recycle eye glasses and hearing aids all year long.  We have collection boxes at the Post Office, OSRAM,  American Legion, Knapton Reade and Woods, and Hillsboro Mini-Storage. We also recycle cell phones and pull tabs from cans which are given to the Shriners.

Provide Vision Screening for the school children in four schools.

Conduct Hearing Screening for the school children and adults. We do this in Hillsboro at the Hillsboro-Deering Schools and in Washington for the elementary school plus at the Hillsboro Head Start.

We assist the school nurses in providing socks, underwear and health supplies for the children who need some assistance.

We assist in eye exams and eyeglasses for those in need of assistance.
