Hastings Rivertown Lions Club 

Current Fundraising Projects:

Culver's Fundraiser -

2nd and 3rd Tuesday of every month:  

Proceeds go into our Activities Account

Lions will work at Culver's on the 2nd and 3rd Tuesdays of the month. Lions will deliver meal trays inside and deliver Carry Out Bags outside to customers in there cars. During our serving time, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, the club will receive a percentage of the proceeds. Profits from this fundraiser will be used for local community projects such as Hastings Family Service, Pleasant Hills Library, Hastings Senior Center, Hastings Police Department, Hastings Fire Department, Hastings High School Show Choir, and the Hastings Area Senior Center.  

Carpenters Nature Center
Raptor Release Fundraiser
Proceeds go into our Activities Account 
Carpenter Nature Center (CNC) contacts our Lions Club for grilling, serving Apple Brats and bottled water to individuals who are attending the Raptor Release Program on Saturday, September 28, 2024. The club has been working with CNC for around 10 years. This year, we sold 300 Apple Brats. Profits will go to community organizations or businesses and to District Lions MD5M Foundations. 
 
 
Carpenters Nature Center
Apple Fest Fundraiser
Proceeds go into our Activities Account
Carpenter Nature Center (CNC) contacts our Lions Club for grilling and selling Apple Brats to individuals attending Apple Fest on Saturday and Sunday, October 12 and 13, 2024. The club has been working with CNC for around 10 years. Profits will go to community organizations or businesses and to district Lions MD5M Foundations. Little Log House Antique Power Show
Last full weekend in July

The Little Log House Antique Power Show contacts the Hastings Rivertown Lions Club to staff the main admission gate at their power show on the last weekend in July.  Lions collect admissions and attach wrist bands for those attending the three day show.  In turn, the owners, will make a donation to our Lions Club.   

Minnesota State Fair Fundraiser - 

late August through Labor Day

Proceeds go into our Administrative Account

Lions District 5M6 has an agreement with the Minnesota State Fair to provide volunteers for the Ticket Booths at the Kid Way Amusement Park and one Ticket Booth at the Mid Way Amusement Park. During the 12 days at the Minneota State Fair, Lions volunteer as Day Captains.  They find Lions or other volunters to work the morning or afternoon shift for their day.  Volunteers put in 7 hours during their shift.  The State Fair pays the 5M6 District $10.00 per hour for each volunteer working. This is a fundraiser for Lions District 5M6.  The district pay clubs $8.50 for each hour their volunteers worked at the Ticket Booths.  The State Fair provides a free admission ticket to the fair.  It is a good way to work at a ticket booth and then walk around the fair on their off shift.  It is a fun way to watch children and parents at the amusement parks.  

Super Breakfast, Saturday, February 17, 2024

This was our second year putting on this breakfast. The breakfast is held on the Saturday of the Super Bowl Weekend. The French Toast breakfast runs from 8:00 to 11:30 a.m. Profits went to our local, Hastings Fire Deptment, firefighters for classes and exersice equipment. 

 

White Elephant Fundraiser

First Regular Club Meeting in January

Proceeds go into our Administrative Account

Club members will bring their most interesting White Elephant Gift that will be auctioned off to the highest bidder.  This is done at our first regular club meeting in January.  It is a fun evening with lots of laughs. Winners must open the gift in front of the membership.  Profits go our Lions Administrative Account to pay for our club's operating expenses.  

Wreaths Across America

Proceeds go into our Activities Account

Lion members will be passing out Wreaths Across America forms, to members of the community, to honor American Veterans across the world.  This was originally called the Arlington Wreath Project for the Arlington National Cemetery.  Wreaths were purchased and laid at fallen veteran grave sites.  The 2024 National Remembrance Ceremony will be held Fort Snelling National Cemetery on December 14, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.  Contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowable by law.  Profits from this fundraiser will be used for local community projects, Lions District and Lions International projects.
