DISASTER RELIEF FROM HURRICANE HELENE
The Greer Lions Clubs donated two power generators
to North Carolina in November 2024.
HUNGER AWARENESS
SUPPORTING GREER SOUP KITCHEN & GCM
- Our Club collected food stuffs for Greer Soup Kitchen and Greer Community Ministries in November 2024.
- Lion PDC Linda Rumsey, Lion Yvonne Alford, and Roger Alford took food bags and worked at the Eating With Jesus Soup Kitchen in Welford on Thursday, October 17, 2024. We gave out 125 bags, and the people that got them were so appreciative that we were there. They received a hot meal and a bag to take with them.
- Food Drive/Distribution with District & Club Participation at Washington Baptist Church Food Pantry.

¨ Eastlink Academy: 254 examined, 41 referrals
¨ Chandler Creek: 106 examined, 24 referrals
¨ Green Charter/Pelham: 271 examined, 66 referrals
¨ Green Charter/Simpsonville: 280 examined, 41 referrals
¨ Totals to date: 1241 examined
¨ 196 referrals—each of these referrals now have opportunities for additional evaluations and future improved vision.
¨ Six Lions participated with 104 service hours logged.

In October and November 2024, through Greer Lions' donations of coins and bills into coin banks provided by Southeastern Children's Home, we donated $125.72 to this worthy cause.
In May 2024, Lion Buddy Waters presented to Greer High School Athletic Director, Greg Miller, a check from our club
in the amount of $20,000.00.
DURING JULY 2024, LIONS DG LINDA RUMSEY WAS INVOLVED IN THE SUPPORT OF THE SC LIONS SPONSORED INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS BY INTRODUCING THEM TO THE GREER SOUP KITCHEN AND THE VOLUNTEER SUPPORT TO THE HOMELESS AND HUNGRY OF OUR COMMUNITY
ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS/RECYCLING
IN JULY 2024, A TEAM OF OUR LION MEMBERS VOLUNTEERED FOR A TRASH PICK UP ALONG SEVERAL STREETS WITHIN THE GREER COMMUNITY.
CHILDHOOD CANCER AWARENESS
SERVICE PROJECT
Along with a generous donation from Daily Bread Ministries(Soup Kitchen), Spinx Gas Stations, and Lion members, we presented $2000.00 in gift cards and cash for a family whose young daughter is fighting cancer.
