Early projects undertaken by the newly formed club included
supply of materials and labour to install a flower and vegetable garden at the Blue Care Respite Centre Mt Gravatt,
assisted by labour and expertise from the Mt Gravatt
Men's Shed.
Donation of 2 easy chairs to the Blue Care respite Centre in Mt Gravatt,
and donation and installation of a flagpole at Mt Gravatt East Aged Care was also supplied.
(Former Mt. Gravatt blue Care is now operated by Estia Health.)
Mt. Gravatt Mansfield Lions are active in supporting the
Mt. Gravatt Community Center which parcel out food to people having difficulty making 'ends meet'.
One of our supporting roles locally is to assist with sourcing food
for
Second Bite where people without ample funds can collect provisions.
