During the month of December the crew was
selling Lions Christmas cakes and raffle tickets at the Mt. Gravatt Plaza shopping center.
The winners were drawn on the last Tuesday before Christmas
Our 1st prize winner Karen from Petrie who sent her husband Dave to collect their prize.
2nd prize winner was Abdulah from Mt Gravatt East and who was very appreciative of his prize as well.
In 2024 the club donated $250 to the Mt Gravatt Environment Group to support their tree planting at Mt Gravatt Showgrounds.
The donation was used to produce information signs to be placed with the new trees
currently located on the Lay St side near where Vega St meet the show ground.
The Lions' Green Canopy Environment Project goal is to plant 1,000,000 trees by June 30, 2027, and not all in Brisbane.
It is hoped the contribution through the plant information signs inspires others to get involved as well.
