The Club pays the entrance/initiation fee for new members. Club dues are currently $40 per quarter. From the club dues, we pay a member's international and district dues. Members pay for their individual meals at regular meetings and special events.
Facts About Grand Forks Lions Club
The Grand Forks Lions Club was organized on February 9, 1922 and officially chartered in May of the same year. We were the third Lions Club chartered in North Dakota. Over the years our club has provided seven governors who served our district. Along with other local clubs (South Forks, Red River, and UND Campus) we hosted the 2018 North Dakota State Lions Convention.
Over the past 96 years, Grand Forks Lions have supported the local community and the community beyond by living the Lions motto "We Serve". The Club has contributed almost half a million dollars to local, regional, state, national, and international charities.
Most recently we have given to:
- Boy Scouts
