Ronald Shipps

Ronald first joined the Gower Lions Club in 1981 after returning from 4 years in the United States Marine Corps.  He re-enlisted in 1982 and left the Lions Club while serving another 2 years in the service of our Country.  Ronnie returned in 1984 and immediately rejoined the Gower Lions Club.  Ronnie has a past of serving the community.  He was the first from a Gower Boy Scout Troop to earn the Highest Award in Scouting, The Eagle Scout Award.  Ronnie is currently serving his second term as president of the Gower Lions Club.  His previous offices held in the club included Secretary, Treasurer and Board of Director.  Ronnie's contributions to the club include the successful PROJECT AMERICAN FLAG.  Ronnie also served on the Gower Festival Committee in the 1980's and also served as a volunteer firefighter for over 15 years.  As a firefighter he also became an Emergency Medical Technician.  Ronnie owns and operates Ronnie's Upholstery, which he runs from his home.
