The Lions Club is starting a new project.  We are now collecting bottle caps from Coka-Cola products.  This includes all of the coca cola products.  There are also codes on 12 and 24 pack cartons.  Look for a collection bin at the home football games and hopefullly at the basketball games also.

The Gower Lions Club has started a new fundraiser.  We are now collecting "Labels" for Cash.  We need everyone to cut the UPC code with the words BEST CHOICE above the code, from ALL of the "Best Choice' Products. Look for collection containers in businesses around town soon.  Funds raised from these labels will be used for Comunity needs and other Lions Club projects. 

 The 5th annual Classic Car, Truck and Motorcycle show was a great success.  Watch for pictures soon.

If you live within the city limits of Gower, you can participate in our PROJECT AMERICAN FLAG PROGRAM.  For just a $25.00 subscription we will place an American Flag in front of your home or business on six selected holidays during the year.  This is how the program works.  For your $25.00, we will place a receptacle in the lawn at ground level in front of your home.  Then each morning on the selected holidays we will place the flags into the receptacle.  At the end of the day we will then pick up the flags and store themuntil the next holiday.  Just think of the pride and patriotism that will be displayed on our streets during these holidays.  This has become one of biggest fundraisers of the year and now you can become a part of it.  Your money may be used to purchase an eye exam and a new pair of eyeglasses for anyone in the area without the means to purchase them thereselves.  Monies are also used to support the Missouri Lions Eye Research Foundation, Leader Dogs for the Blind, local scholarships, disaster relief, Hearing Programs and many more.
